Who is Monica?
My specialty is providing consistent results in a professional way for each of my clients. My goal is to collaborate with you to create a customized hairstyle for you. I also specialize in creating beautiful dimensional hair color from natural to dramatic results with cruelty-free ammonia-free hair color.
I do my best to be environmentally conscious in my life inside & outside the salon. I am a Green Circle Salons Certified Stylist, which allows me to recycle: hair clippings, color tubes, excess color, foils, & other salon waste that can’t be recycled with the local disposal company & would end up in a landfill. I only use cruelty-free products in the salon. I enjoy talking with my clients about ways that we can live more sustainable lives to live beautifully.
I’ve been hairdressing for over 20 years & have had a passion for hairstyling for over 30 years! I began my career learning advanced color theory, Vidal Sassoon, & Yosh based haircutting techniques assisting at Brewer Phillips Hair Design in San Rafael. I continue to attend advanced education classes to stay up to date on current techniques & trends. This advanced education helps me stay inspired with fresh ideas for your hair, so that when you’re ready for a change, I’m ready too, with ideas & suggestions for you.
Get outdoors
When I’m not in the salon I enjoy spending time with my family & friends. I have a 6 year old son & two dogs, in our free time my husband & I take them to the beach to play in the sand! I enjoy being outdoors hiking, camping, wine tasting, & traveling as many places as possible. I love a good cup of coffee & listening to audiobooks, podcasts, & a variety of music. I am a member of the Sonoma County Professional Women, Petaluma Women in Business, Petaluma Polka Dot Powerhouse, & the Past Member of the Petaluma Mothers Club & Rotary.
